Trina Stops Development of Polysilicon Production Facility
Trina Solar Limited has announced its decision to discontinue the development of its previously announced 10,000 ton polysilicon production facility. The company also announced that its related equipment supply contract with GT Solar Incorporated, which was subject to final approval by the boards of both companies, will lapse as a result, with the concurrence of both parties. The plant was expected to cost an estimated US $1 billion.
SOLON Wins 10-MW Order from Greece
SOLON AG has won its first major order in the Greek market. The agreement that has been signed with Hypervolt Renewable Energy S.A. provides for the supply of solar modules totaling 10 megawatts (MW) during 2008 and 2009.
